Portland, ME (August 2016) – OA Centers for Orthopaedics welcomes the addition of two new orthopaedic surgeons to their roster: Dr. Kathryn Hanna and Dr. Michael O’Malley. Dr. Hanna is a board-certified; fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon treating upper extremity injuries and conditions with a specialization of the elbow and hand. Dr. O’Malley is an orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in orthopaedic sports medicine, and focuses on joint preservation and replacement, as well as arthroscopy of the shoulder, hip and knee.
Hanna brings 11 years of specialized experience as a member of the U.S. Navy hand transplant team with her to OA, as well as being a member of the teaching facility at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego during that time. Hanna holds an American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery subspecialty certificate in surgery of the hand.
O’Malley has published numerous articles on surgical management of multi-ligamentous knee injuries, meniscal tears, and cartilage injury. O’Malley brings many years of experience from regularly performed procedures such as: hip arthroscopy for impingement and labral tear, ACL and multi-ligamentous knee reconstruction, articular cartilage restoration, meniscus repair, rotator cuff repair, shoulder replacement and Tommy John Surgery.
