OA Centers for Orthopaedics, a division of Spectrum Medical Group, welcomes the addition of Bruce Gomberg, MD. Dr. Gomberg is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement of the hip and knee and newer techniques of partial joint replacements of the knee. Gomberg is the director of the Maine Orthopaedic Review: the nation’s longest-running orthopaedic board review conference.
Gomberg said “I went into medicine to help people and I still find it a privilege to do so. Helping patients become pain free and active again is the highlight of my career.” Gomberg returns to Maine after 4 years of working in New Hampshire and cites his love of the outdoors and the culture of the Portland community as big draws to returning to the state.
Linda Ohringer serves as the Executive Director of Clinical Services at Spectrum Medical Group, the division that includes Central Maine Orthopaedics and OA Centers for Orthopaedics. “We are so thrilled Dr. Gomberg has joined our team. He brings many years of expertise, including his unique ability to perform partial joint replacements. This option can often be an excellent choice for young, athletic people, like so many residents of the Portland area, allowing them to continue to stay active and return to the activities they love” Ohringer said.
