Matthew Wood, MPT
Matthew received his Master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of New England in 2005. After graduation, Matthew started work at a clinic in Southern Maine specializing in manual therapy. During his 6 years at the clinic, he worked with patients presenting with a wide variety of musculoskeletal issues including spinal dysfunctions, upper and lower limb dysfunctions, headaches, post-surgical rehabilitation, and dysfunctions of the nervous system. Wanting to further his knowledge of evaluation and treatment of orthopedic issues, he enrolled in a 2.5 year manual therapy residency in 2007. After passing the examination, he received a manual therapy certification from The Manual Therapy Institute in 2010. His clinical interests include rehabilitation of neck and lower back dysfunctions. Matthew joined the OAPT team in 2011, working in the Saco clinic.

Matthew enjoys golf, exercise and fitness, and is an avid disc golfer. He lives in Biddeford with his wife, 2 sons, and his english bulldog “Bogey”.
