Jared Buzzell, PT, CMP, OAPT Saco Manager
Jared Buzzell is the physical therapy manager at the OA Performance Center in Saco, Maine. He is a licensed physical therapist and holds a B.S. degree in physical therapy from the University of Vermont. He worked in the orthopedic PT department at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire before moving to Maine and joining OA in 2000. He specializes in sports therapy with a special interest in the biomechanics of the running and cycling athlete. He also subspecializes in the biomechanics of the golf swing, was certified in ‘Back to Golf’ in 2005 and attended the first annual Titleist World Golf fitness summit in 2006. He has developed and manages the Golf Performance Program at OA where he does thorough movement and swing assessments with video analysis.
Jared has done extensive course work in various treatment philosophies, including Mulligan, Cyriax, Maitland and Kaltenborn, in addition to numerous hours of functional training and sport specific seminars. In 2007 he became a Certified Mulligan practitioner (an advanced manual therapy certification) by completing his coursework in the Mulligan concept and passing the credentialing examination.
Jared’s passion and enthusiasm for athletics carries over into his treatment philosophy with creating biomechanically sound athletes and promoting athletic wellness/ injury prevention.
Jared resides in Scarborough, ME, enjoys swimming, biking and running, and has competed in several triathlons of varying distances including Ironman Lake Placid in 2010.
