Ryan Brown, PT, FAAOMPT, OAPT Windham Manager
Ryan completed his Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry at Notre Dame College and received his Master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of New England’s College of Health Science in 2005. During his time at school, Ryan was a member of the Men’s Crew and Volleyball teams. Immediately after graduation, Ryan specialized in the treatment of surgical and non-surgical spine patients, and became a clinical Director for a clinic in Kennebunk.
In 2007, Ryan enrolled in a one year residency program, focusing on the Kaltenborn approach, at The Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in Woburn, Massachusetts and then continued on to complete their second year fellowship program. In December of 2008, Ryan was granted fellowship from The Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and is awaiting fellowship from The American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. This program focused on the advanced evaluation and management of Orthopaedic conditions of the spine and extremities. Ryan specializes in advanced orthopaedic manual/manipulative physical therapy skills for management of spine and extremity disorders. Also, Ryan has completed course work in the biomechanical analysis and management of the foot/ankle.
Ryan is an instructor for Scorebuilders and travels around the country teaching Physical Therapy students how to study, prepare and pass the national licensing exam. Ryan is also a credentialed clinical instructor from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Other affiliations include: member of the sports and orthopedic sections of the APTA and member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy.
Ryan joined OA in the spring of 2009 as a staff clinician for the OA Physical Therapy Center in Saco.
Currently, Ryan resides in Westbrook with his wife Heather and his son Preston.
