Sacha D. Matthews, M.D.

Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microsurgery

Dr. Matthews graduated from Amherst College and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. He served his residency in general surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, the teaching hospital of Columbia University, and his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the New York Orthopaedic Hospital of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where he was chief resident. Following his residency, Dr. Matthews completed a one-year, post-graduate fellowship in micro, hand and upper extremity surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases/New York University Hospital Center. Dr. Matthews is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He also has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery. Dr. Matthews is an Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont. Dr. Matthews is currently the Secretary/Treasurer of the Maine Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
