Dr. Kelly graduated from Case Western Reserve University (Ohio) with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He received his degree in medicine from the Medical College of Pennsylvania - Hahnemann University. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Vermont. Following his residency, he attended the Otto E. Aufranc Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction (Joint Replacement) at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. He has authored a number of papers in the field of joint replacement. His interests include minimally invasive knee and hip surgery, alternative bearing surfaces in joint replacement, and revision joint replacement. He is a member of the Board of the Mercy Hospital Orthopedic Institute and is the Chair of the Inpatient Operations Committee. Dr. Kelly is a fellow of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). He recently completed the AAHKS Young Leaders’ program and serves on its communication committee.
