Jeffrey Bean, D.O.

Sports Medicine

Dr. Bean specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. A native of Windham, Maine, Dr. Bean graduated from Cheverus High School and received his undergraduate degree in Human Biology from San Francisco State University. He returned home to Maine to attend medical school and graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following completion of his studies at UNE, he completed his internal medicine residency at Loyola University in Chicago and his sports medicine fellowship at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. During his fellowship training he obtained extensive experience covering high school, college, and professional events. Dr Bean is board-certified in internal medicine with a Certificate of Added Qualification in sports medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Sports Medicine. Prior to returning to Maine, Dr. Bean practiced sports medicine in Sandusky, Ohio, where he was team physician and consultant for multiple high schools, as well as Assistant Professor at Ohio University. He is currently team physician for Windham High School. When not seeing patients or performing his duties as team physician, he enjoys biking around Portland and hiking with his wife and their two beagles.
