The Sports Medicine Center of Orthopaedic Associates of
Portland specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of
sports-related injuries. Whether you are a recreational or a professional athlete,
competitive or non-competitive, our Sports Medicine Center can help you regain your
highest ability level. Our subspecialty trained physicians and their staff evaluate and
diagnose injuries promptly and direct appropriate treatment, both surgical and
non-surgical.
Our physicians provide on-field clinical support to area
high school, college, and professional athletic teams, including the Portland Sea Dogs and
the Portland Ballet. They serve as team physicians for both the U.S. Soccer Team and the
U.S. Alpine Ski Team. Some of the local colleges covered include
Bowdoin College,
the University of Southern Maine, and the University of New England. We also offer pre-participation sports physicals, ski injury
prevention seminars, and other educational programs. Top
