Receptionist - PT and Performance Center

OA Centers for Orthopaedics is seeking qualified individuals for the position of receptionist in OA's 22,000 square foot Physical Therapy Center and Performance Center dedicated to the training of athletes in Saco. If you have a passion for athletic performance, helping people recover from injuries, and empowering America’s youth through sports and exercise than we want to speak with you!

We are seeking two energetic individuals to answer phones, schedule athletes and patients, verify patient insurance plans, manage records, and enter payments and invoices. Each of these part time positions are scheduled for three days per week: Monday - Wednesday 10am - 8pm; Thursday & Friday 9am - 8pm and Saturday 7am - 1pm.

Successful candidates will possess the following skills:

  • Experience and high comfort level working and communicating with patients as well as athletes age 7 and above
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively give overviews of programs
  • Outgoing and energetic while maintaining professionalism
  • Function exceptionally well in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills
  • Retail business experience a plus

 

Massage Therapist
(Independent Contractor position)

The OA Performance Center located in Saco, Maine is a fully integrated physician, physical therapy, and sports performance facility. We are expanding our Massage Therapy business and are looking for experienced individuals to join our team in an Independent Contractor capacity.

We are presently seeking a licensed Massage Therapist to work with clients from a variety of sources, including athletes (high school, college, and professional) and physical therapy referrals. The professional we seek will have a minimum of 2 years experience with the ability to build a strong client base.

 

Physician Assistant

We have an opportunity available for an experienced Physician Assistant to provide patient management in both the office and surgical setting. Surgery performed in 2 hospitals plus on-site surgery center.

Job requirements include: patient assessment, H&P's, ordering of diagnostic services, assisting in surgery, performing injections and aspirations, writing orders in medical chart, preparing discharge, swing and transfer summaries, inpatient rounding and writing progress notes, on-call duties for supervising physician and prescribing and dispensing of drugs to the extent permitted by State and Federal Law.

Current Maine state licensure, board certification, prior medical/surgical experience, strong organizational skills and a continuing desire to learn in a dynamic work environment are required.

 

Registered Nurse - OR (Full Time)

Are you a Registered Nurse, seeking a day shift position with no weekends, holidays or call? If so, we have an opportunity available for an enthusiastic professional devoted to the highest quality of patient care to join our Surgical Center.

At least 5 years orthopedic scrub and circulating experience, the desire to cross train and flexibility in work hours is required.

Current ACLS training is preferred.

 

Physical Therapist (Full Time)

We have an opportunity available for a talented and motivated professional to provide sports medicine services in an open concept physical therapy clinic.

The high energy team player week seek will have advanced treatment and communication skills as well as 2+ years experience in outpatient orthopedic sports medicine for this highly athletic/active patient population. Current Maine state license in Physical Therapy is required. Additional ATC or CSCS qualification is a plus.

Insurance Benefits: Full-time (32 – 40 hours/week) and Part-time (27-31 hours/week) employees are eligible for the following benefit programs first of the month following 30 days of employment (*Employee contribution required, depending on option chosen):

Paid Time Off Benefits: Available after 90 days of employment to employees whose regular work schedule is 20 – 40 hours/week and is pro-rated based on his/her work week schedule:

PTOPaid time away from work that can be used for vacation, personal time, illness, or to care for dependents:
  • Accrued biweekly based on hours worked up to 40
  • Annual PTO accrual (based on 40 hours/week) = 17 days; accruals increase based on years of service: 22 days after 3 years, 27 days after 5 years, 32 days after 20 years
Holiday Time 9 days per year with no waiting period – may change depending on calendar year
