Raymond R. White, M.D.

Trauma and Fracture Surgery

Dr. White graduated from Wabash College in Indiana and the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. He served his internship in internal medicine and his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University Medical Center of Vermont. He was an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine for two years prior to moving to Portland. Dr. White is a member of the board of trustees of the international AO/ASIF Foundation (Association for the Study of Internal Fixation), president of the AO Alumni Association, and an active instructor in the AO/ASIF technique for the surgical treatment of fractures. Dr. White is the author or co-author of recent medical journal articles dealing with the subspecialty of orthopaedic trauma. He is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and a charter member and past president of the New England Trauma Study Group. Dr. White is director, division of trauma orthopaedics, at Maine Medical Center.
