Dr. Crothers graduated from Princeton University and the University of Maryland Medical School. He served his general surgery residency at Union Memorial Hospital (Baltimore) and a research fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. His orthopaedic training was at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Crothers was a clinical fellow in hip surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and also served as an assistant professor of orthopaedics at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the founder of and remains active with Maine Handicapped Skiing.
