Matthew R. Camuso, M.D.

Trauma and Fracture Surgery

Dr. Camuso is a graduate of Princeton University and attended Dartmouth Medical School on a Naval Health Profession Scholarship. He performed his orthopaedic surgery training at the University of Washington and Harborview Medical Centers in Seattle. He remained at Harborview for a one-year fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology. Dr. Camuso spent four years on active duty as an instructor for the Navy Trauma Training Center at the LA County & USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, while also serving as an assistant clinical professor at the Keck School of Medicine. In 2004-2005, he deployed to Iraq where he supported the Marines in both Fallujah and the Al Anbar province, managing wartime fractures in a far-forward environment. He is a consultant editor and author of articles focusing on orthopaedic trauma and military orthopaedics. He is an active member and instructor for the international AO/ASIF Foundation (Association for the Study of Internal Fixation). Dr. Camuso is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
