Our specialized orthopedic surgeons and our highly trained staff of experienced RNs, physician assistants, and anesthesiologists (from the Spectrum Medical Group at Maine Medical Center) will provide you with the highest quality surgical care available anywhere in the country.

The OA Surgery Center incorporates a leading-edge digital operating room facility. A 10,000 square-foot expansion in 2003 included the addition of two state-of-the-art operating rooms that harness the full power of computer and digital technology; the first surgery center in Maine to do so. Digital technology provides enhanced viewing fields during surgery, comprehensive electronic imaging, and advanced computer connectivity for remote retrieval and evaluation of patient diagnostics, including MRIs, CT scans, and x-rays. In tandem with our advanced on-site x-ray suite, new procedure rooms, expanded MRI availability, expanded post-surgery recovery area, and state-of-the-art surgical facilities, our OR facility represents a significant investment in the latest advances in surgical and medical technology. The result improves quality of care for our patients, allowing us to provide the highest level of integrated care, directly on-site. This advanced orthopedic care infrastructure benefits citizens throughout Maine.

A Personal and Comforting Experience
We place special emphasis on personalized patient education, which begins at the time of the pre-operative interview and continues throughout the last phases of recovery. We make sure that all your questions are answered and that you are thoroughly prepared. On-site parking provides easy access to our facility. A comfortable family waiting room is located just outside the surgical area and close communication is maintained with waiting family members. As soon as possible after surgery, you and your family are encouraged to complete the recovery process together. A member of our surgical team will contact you the day after your surgery to closely monitor your progress.
